THE CLIENT:

Our client is a Logistics specalist with a difference. Established over 10 years ago, they have consistently punched above their weight in London delivering an unusually flexible and trouble free service to a mixture of major builders Data Centre EPCs and fitout contractors. The Group has grown turnover to at over £25m. Those are inclusive of a turnkey logistics offering including but not limited to labour supply, security, site set up, Accommodation, Waste, Hoardings, New site offices, Temporary services, access control.


With work in various European cities. They are also now a Principal Logistics Provider contractor appointed directly by a major confidential client


The key to their success has been engaging at the pre-construction stage for their clients, providing value add through alternative logistics strategies or and value engineering non- essential elements to ensure their clients bids are on the button.


ROLE:

It is imperative that prospective candidates have exceptional technical knowledge of construction, both commercially and operationally, and can manage a portfolio of projects as a minimum concurrently with a combined cost centre of up to £30 million


In other words a candidate who can demonstrate leading and managing a commercial team of at least 2 individuals through an effective structure.

DUTIES:


Looking for a senior project surveyor. Works will require:


· Contract works

o Procurement

o Applications

o Review / agree subcontractor payments

o review / Agree client payments

· Manage and oversee Change Account

· Manage cash flow

· Manage and own CVR process

· Communication to client




· Running and be responsible for a substantial cost centre.

· Personally producing a range of documents such as cash flow reports, KPIs and forecasts

· Conducting other tasks such as managing / pricing variations, tender analysis / negotiation and letting of contract works

· Delivered savings to the project through identification and challenge of the design

· Managing and developing Commercial Staff for each project as well as ensuring project is successfully delivered within set timescales and budget

· Preparing tender enquiries and tender lists together with scopes of work for the procurement of the subcontract packages

· Be present at tender adjudications and leading bids for new project acquisitions

· Liaising extensively with the client and making applications for payment and managing / pricing variations

· Managing major sub-contractors ensuring satisfaction of all specifications, deadlines and successful account negotiations.

· Establishing and developing long term relationships with consultants including PQSs notably


ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

· Technical knowledge and competence within Design and Build projects as principle and domestic subbie.

· Managing a cost centre for a principle contractor

· Problem solver with a key eye for detail

· Strong communicator

· Excellent negotiation and presentation skills

· A self-motivated individual with a willingness to take ownership of tasks

· UK Driving Licence – This role involves travelling to projects nationally
