Our client with £40m turnover per year. They stand out in the industry for the work they have done with heritage and cultural institutions.

The blend of the company is a young and dynamic board, with 4 contract managers and 5 Project Managers.

They have a MEP subcontracting arm of the business and a Facilities Management business.

POSITION:  Project Manager

This is a key hire as part of the company’s continued growth strategy. The successful candidate will join the business ahead of project award, with the opportunity to contribute to work-winning activity before taking full ownership of delivery. A Project Manager to work on projects from £1m to £10m. You ideally will have been a number 1 on projects up to £10m previously. Either managing a single larger scheme or multiple smaller projects concurrently.   You need to be someone who is commercially savvy.   Be able to programme on Asta from contract issue to practical completion   You will be either running 1 larger project up to £10m or running a couple of smaller projects. Either with 1 or 2 site managers beneath, a visiting TSM, Visiting Design Manager, Visiting Estimator and Health and Safety sitting in house.   Ideal candidate is someone with some pre-construction experience / someone who is comfortable presenting at post tender interviews. If you are not on a project straight away you can come join in the work winning team. You have to be confident in client meetings and presenting. You also must be someone who is cable of putting together a compelling email so being tech savvy is needed.   The appointment is for growth rather than to run a specific job. So, it’s not a reactive hire, but strategic which allows the right candidate onboard into the company before taking up a project which you will have a hand in winning.   In return they offer great work with quality clients and real empowerment. It won’t suit someone looking for fast track contracts management career advancement. It will suit a ‘proper’ project manager.
