We are actively seeking a Senior Design Manager for a proven leader in the London Fit Out Market, who are well known for their high quality, Design & Build, fast track fit out projects. 

Job Description:

We are currently working with a proven leader in the London fit out market who are well known for their high-quality, Design & Build, fast track fit out projects. Having worked with some world famous clients, in some of the most iconic buildings in London, they offer the full D&B package using their inhouse specialists to ensure they meet all clients expectations.

Their typical projects cover both Cat A and Cat B commercial offices with an average project value between £3million and £5million. Their premium projects can reach anywhere from £15million to £30million in value.

They seek: 

A Senior Design Manager to lead a team of 2 Design Managers and 3 Document Controllers, being hands on a Design Manager on projects up to the value of £5 managing two to three projects simultaneously OR overseeing those within the team across those projects, depending on the project schedules. 

Looking for a leader to drive the projects, with the ability to produce progress reports, update programs and put together extension of time strategies and have client facing skills, chairing meetings. 

The Ideal Candidate would:

• Have experience running and fit out projects typically up to the value of £10m

• Driving programmes via the design team, working collaboratively with the commercial and preconstruction teams

• Meeting regularly with clients, third parties and managers to report on progress

• Setting targets, objectives and responsibilities for all supervised staff

• Reporting to clients and board members on project progress

• Ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled

• Review the design proposals for potential VE opportunities that could be offered. 

• All Construction issued drawings to be checked for completeness and compliance with the specifications.

• Review works on site for both quality and compliance

• Work with the Technical Services Managers to ensure full co-ordination is managed in a timely and cost-effective manner.

• Work closely with the client design team throughout the process to ensure compliance to the ERs and specification and that once established those relationships are maintained for future projects.

• Assist, where required, with the snagging process and record findings through the Procore Document control process. Post construction
