The Opportunity

Our client is the construction arm of a progressive and well-capitalised owner and operator of hotels across the UK and Europe.

Having recently secured planning consent for a landmark hotel redevelopment in the City of London, they are seeking an experienced Project Lead to take ownership of the project from its current RIBA Stage 2/3 position through procurement, construction and practical completion.

The scheme has an anticipated construction value of approximately £40 million and is programmed to commence on site in Q2 2027, with an 18-month delivery period.

This is not a one-project opportunity. A further pipeline of hotel developments is currently progressing through planning, offering genuine long-term career prospects and the chance to help shape the growth of an expanding development platform.

The Role

As Project Lead, you will act as the driving force behind the successful delivery of the project, providing strategic leadership throughout the development and construction lifecycle.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the project from RIBA Stage 2/3 through to Practical Completion.

  • Leading consultant, contractor and stakeholder teams.

  • Developing procurement strategies and overseeing tender processes.

  • Providing strategic input into construction methodology, logistics and buildability.

  • Establishing and managing project programmes, budgets and risk registers.

  • Driving quality, programme and commercial performance.

  • Managing contractor relationships and supply chain engagement.

  • Ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with operational hotel requirements.

  • Reporting directly to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

About You

We are keen to speak with experienced project professionals who have successfully delivered complex hotel schemes and possess a strong understanding of both pre-construction and delivery.

Ideally you will have:

  • Extensive experience delivering hotel projects in the UK.

  • A proven track record managing projects from design development through to completion.

  • Strong knowledge of procurement, construction methodologies and logistics planning.

  • Experience working for a developer, client-side organisation, main contractor or project management consultancy.

  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

  • The ability to operate strategically whilst remaining delivery-focused.

  • Commercial awareness and a hands-on approach to problem solving.

What’s on Offer?

  • Opportunity to lead the delivery of a flagship £40m London hotel development.

  • Direct influence over project strategy and delivery approach.

  • Long-term pipeline of future schemes.

  • The chance to join a growing, ambitious and well-funded business at an exciting stage of its expansion.
