They seek a Proper Project Manager.
A leader who is either an up and comer or a seasoned project lead. BUT an absolute Number 1 who can take a program from Contract Issue to completion, a logistics strategy from scratch often in live tight buildings, progress reports, and consultant interface with or without a construction manager on site.

The appointment is for growth rather than to run a specific job. So, it’s not a reactive hire, but strategic which allows the right candidate onboard into the company before taking up a project which you will have a hand in winning.

To successfully lead and manage single or multiple projects across our divisions, ensuring project delivery fully satisfies customer and Company requirements and to contribute to the growth of the business by building relationships, maximising repeat business and actively seeking market opportunities.

To be responsible and accountable for providing best practice project management leadership to ensure the safe, successful, cost efficient and timely delivery of projects. Provide effective risk management and problem resolution, whilst leading from the front. Accountability is key to this role.

It is expected that the senior PM will manage projects ranging in value of between £250k and £6 million but usually £1-3 million.

Key accountabilities:
 

• Overall responsibility for delivery and quality in line with customer and company expectations.

• Ensures the build ability of the project.

• Responsible for the master programme and forecasting.

• Always understands the status of the project and escalates any significant delivery risks.

• Dispute resolution on site.

• Ensures timely and accurate reporting internally and to the client.

• Responsible for decision making on site that may have a commercial impact.

• To ensure full compliance with all Company policies and ISO accreditations.

• Ensure our health, safety, environment and quality standards, operating processes, company policies and all legislative requirements are understood, implemented, and always adhered to throughout the team.

Skills & experience:
 

• Significant experience of working at Project Manager level

• Industry experience. Track record of successful projects either internally or externally.

• Can organise and manage the design phase of a project. Help prepare and maintain the client decision matrix.

• Able to collate information from their team to prepare and present the project report.

• Understanding of how to comply with a Health & Safety policy and Health & Safety management system.

• Evidence of strong interpersonal and people management skills are essential.

• Ability to understand the wider picture whilst devoting attention to detail.

• Proactive, diligent, able, and willing to think ahead.

• Attitude: characterised by enthusiasm, commitment to personal and divisional success

• Commercial awareness: understanding and ability to make profit whilst retaining relationships and company values.

• Quality driven; demonstrates attitude and experience of delivery projects based on quality, attention to detail and client satisfaction.

• To be able to nurture both existing and new client and consultant relationships.

• To have previously held a Project Manager role for at least 3 years.

• Manage a large team providing direction and guidance for project success.

• Hold close supply chain relationships and leverage them during job delivery.

• Oversee the PDR process of the site team to aid and improve performance of team members.
