A world class bespoke joinery manufacturer and multi trade fit out, taking on multi-million-pound projects for commercial, prime residential, residential and leisure sectors.

Our client, a prominent joinery firm that has expanded to deliver comprehensive interior design, manufacturing, and installation packages from an impressive factory, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

SQS with Construction related degree preferably in Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying. Other qualifications and experience may be suitable and shall be reviewed on an individual basis for those individuals with a different background. You will be sitting on a £18 million central London fit out project.

To provide commercial expertise and be responsible for the financial and contractual delivery of one or a number of projects from inception through to completion to the required standards and to a successful conclusion.

To represent the company in a professional and proficient manner at all times whilst maintaining and building relationships with all parties. Key Personal Qualities & Attributes

• Commercially aware and driven to achieve results
• Correctly identify and prepare any contractual notices for all events and administering the contract and any sub-contract conditions accordingly
• Complete CVR reports, ensuring they accurately reflect the current position on site and the final profit projection. Consistency on CVR reporting
• Place Purchase Order in line with the Procurement Schedule within their commercial team
• Place Sub-Contract Orders in line with the Procurement Schedule within their commercial team
• Ensure all Purchase Orders & Sub-Contracts issued externally accurately reflect the contract requirements and scope of works
• Tackle difficult issues as soon as they arise. Provide early warning of any future major financial issues and/or disputes in a timely manner to the Senior Management Team and assist in the resolution
• Manage, train and develop the junior members of the team Secondary Duties
• General additional duties as required as the Lead QS to ensure the commercial role is fulfilled correctly
• Assist the Senior Management Team with any disputes and/or claims which may arise on their projects
• Assist and be involved in implementing positive change of policies, procedures and methods of working within the business
• Flexible to adapt to work demands to assist in other roles and departments in a short-term basis for the benefit of their personal development.
